RasTa: A Soul’s Journey

Saturday, February 10, 2 pm
Jackman Hall, Art Gallery of Ontario

Dir. Stuart Samuels

90 minutes

Embark on a global journey with RasTa: A Soul's Journey, following Donisha Prendergast, Rita and Bob Marley's granddaughter, as she explores the roots of the Rastafari across eight countries around the world. Her journey takes her to places where her grandfather's captivating performances and his message are still deeply remembered. The documentary blends travel, music, and culture, creating a potent narrative against an inspiring reggae soundtrack. An invitation to experience the universal impact of a movement that goes beyond geography, this film connects through the rhythms of reggae and the rich tapestry of Rastafari’s enduring spirit.

Following the screening, join us for a Q&A session.
