Teacher Workshop: Art and Social Studies

Saturday, March 28 2026, 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Explore how art can be a powerful tool for understanding cultures, communities, and historical events. Start with a guided tour featuring works from our permanent collection. Then make your own collograph prints, thinking about your own identity, experiences, and sense of place. In this workshop, you will learn how to use art as a conversation starter for social studies and leave with strategies that enhance critical thinking, creativity, and historical understanding.

All art making supplies will be provided.
