Mixed Media: Figure & Fashion
In this class, students will explore the foundations of fashion illustration through a mixed‑media lens. Using watercolour, markers, and a range of surface‑design techniques, students will learn how to render elongated forms, draped cloth, pattern, and texture while developing their own expressive style.
Inspired by the AGO’s exhibitions Sunday Best and Melissa Auf der Maur: My ‘90s Rock Photographs, the class will examine how artists use colour, pattern, gesture, and adornment to convey identity, attitude and presence.
Students are asked to bring their receipt (printed or digital) and Meet in Seminar Room 2 located in the Weston Family Learning Centre for the start of the first class.
