Paper Play

Discover traditional mould-style papermaking, but with plenty of room to experiment. Play with textures, colours, and unexpected materials to craft your own one-of-a-kind 5” x 7” sheets.  Then explore the fundamentals of soft cover bookbinding, including pamphlet stitch and Japanese stab binding techniques. Carve a lino block and ink, and print your own designs to add bold, graphic touches to your pages. By the end, you’ll have a sampling of handmade papers, prints, and collaged pages bound into books that are as fun and expressive as the process itself.

Students are asked to bring their receipt (printed or digital) and Meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.
