Watercolour Explorations: Beyond the Basics
Watercolour Exploration: Beyond the Basics is designed for students who already have some experience with watercolour and are ready to expand their skills and artistic voice. Building on foundational techniques, like colour mixing and wet on wet, students will be challenged to develop stronger compositions with more complex subject matter, experiment with colour harmonies, surface textures and combine techniques to achieve both expressive and refined effects. Projects will encourage personal interpretation while deepening technical confidence, and students will be supported in pursuing their own creative ideas. Students will learn the tools to move from practice exercises into more ambitious, finished artworks that reflect their individual style.
This class is suitable for students with some watercolour painting experience. To get the most out of this course, we recommend taking Introduction to Watercolour first.
Students are asked to bring their receipt (printed or digital) and meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.
