Renée Brazeau

Renée Brazeau (she/they) is a multidisciplinary visual artist and art educator practicing in Kjipuktuk/Halifax. Their practice is focused on a variety of areas including textiles, drawing, painting, teaching, and community-based projects. Her work often explores themes of place, and more specifically her relationship to place as a queer person living in a chronically ill body. Renée has facilitated arts-based workshops through Wonder’neath Art Society, NSCAD Extended Studies, and the Centre for Craft Nova Scotia, and continues to seek opportunities to expand her socially-engaged art practice. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) and Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University, as well as a Masters of Arts in Art Education from NSCAD University.
