Gilt lettering on the front and back covers displaying the title, “EXHIBITION MDCCC.LI / REPORTS BY THE / JURIES”. The spine also has gilt lettering that reads “EXHIBITION / MDCCC.LI / JURY REPORTS”, and the volume number (VOL. I). The front and back cover of is elaborately stamped in gilt with a V & A (Victoria and Albert) emblem. The volume has gilded edges, and the endpapers are of royal blue silk.
