As of June 1, 2023, AGOinsider evolved into Foyer – a refreshed digital magazine, published by the AGO, dedicated to telling compelling stories about art and artists from Toronto and beyond. Visit our new website here. 

What can you expect with Foyer? More. More of what we’ve been writing about over the past seven years. More interviews and profiles. More explorations into exhibitions, events and programming. More far-reaching conversations. Stories will drop on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There are over 1,400 AGOinsider stories. Years of writing, designing, brainstorming and planning have brought us here, but most of all, we’ve reached this point because of readers like you and those who’ve generously agreed to share their art with us. You’ve been with us on this journey, and we invite you to stay with us as we evolve.

Art is for everybody, and we’ll keep bringing forward that spirit in earnest. As you read Foyer each week, there will be names you recognize, and others you’ll learn about for the first time. We will continue to celebrate the work of creatives inside and outside the walls of the AGO.

We chose the name Foyer because we think of our stories as entry points into the arts across media.
