Calling all artmakers! Pack yourself a picnic lunch and grab your sketching supplies because we’ve got the perfect destination for you this Saturday, May 25. Join us outdoors for plein air drawing surrounded by the beauty of Grange Park during our must-attend, all-day art event, AGO All Hours.

We’ve got a full day of fun for all ages this Saturday. The museum will be packed with everything from special art installations and artmaking activities to artist projects, marquee performances and more. And right outside our doors, we’re paying tribute to one of the AGO’s first art instructors, Group of Seven member Arthur Lismer, with plein air drawing in Grange Park.

From 10:30 am to 4:30pm, artists of all levels are invited to hop on one of our easels set-up throughout the park for an outdoor drawing experience. AGO instructors will be on hand to give pointers and tips, and if you’re looking for a little inspiration, there’s always the dogs!

Want more Grange Park fun? Step just inside the AGO’s South Entrance and visit the AGO’s E. P. Taylor Library & Archives for an historic look at the Grange Park. AGO’s Archivist Marilyn Nazar will host a mini-exhibition of historic park photographs and visitors are welcomed to attend talks in the Library at 11 am and 2 pm.

And we have more history about the Grange to share: Join us Wednesday, May 29 from 6 to 8 pm for Library & Archives Unshelved: Historic Grange Park to dig deep into the archives of Grange Park, then and now.

All events in Grange Park and the Library are FREE. Admission to AGO All Hours is free for visitors 25 and under, AGO Annual Pass holders and AGO Members, and $25 for single ticket purchasers, with in-and-out privileges throughout the duration of the event (10:30 am to 1 am). All outdoor activities are weather dependant.

AGO Annual Passes and advance tickets for AGO All Hours are on sale now. For more information visit AGO.ca or follow #AGOAllHours.
