Making Together: Exploring Andy Warhol (with Adult)

Join us for our 1 day family workshops where children with an adult caregiver will explore artists and artworks in our collection and get inspired to create back in the studio. This season we're exploring artwork by Andy Warhol and screenprinting together in the studio.

Introduction to Printmaking - Intensive

Explore traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques, while using a large-format printing press and experimenting with collagraph, monoprinting, silkscreen printing, and soft linoleum relief. Students are encouraged to bring source images and inspiration for their work: drawings, sketchbook compositions, photos and found images. 

This course is suitable for a range of skill levels from beginner up, and all materials: ink, paper, tools, plates and linoleum, will be supplied by the AGO. Meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.

Printmaking Explorations: Screenprinting

From initial sketch to final print, in this course you’ll dive deep into the art of screenprinting. Students will learn a variety of stencil techniques while experimenting with various inks, flooding the screen, as well as gradual blending.  We’ll visit the galleries to view artworks and inspire your unique approach to this versatile printing technique. 

This course is suitable for all skill levels. All basic materials for this course are supplied by the AGO. Meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.

Exploring Printmaking

Explore the magic of printmaking and watch your artwork multiply! Create innovative prints on paper and even your own tote bag, using a variety of techniques and processes, including silk screen, lino-cuts and mono-prints. Experiment with textures and patterns while exploring negative and positive space, colour and more.
