Printmaking Explorations: Linocut
Printmaking Explorations: Linocut is a specialized course focusing on the bold and expressive art of linocut printmaking. Students will learn the entire process of linocut, from designing and carving a linoleum block to inking and printing their final images. Emphasis will be placed on mastering carving tools, understanding positive and negative space, and experimenting with texture and pattern. Through a series of hands-on projects, participants will create original prints while exploring various inks and types of paper. The course also delves into the historical and contemporary applications of linocut, allowing students to gain both technical skills and creative insight. No prior printmaking experience is necessary, making this course ideal for beginners and those looking to expand their printmaking practice.
