Silkscreening in a printmaking course

Introduction to Printmaking

Explore both traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques while working on a large-format printing press. You’ll experiment with lino block, silkscreen printing, and drypoint etching, discovering the unique qualities of each process.

Students are encouraged to bring source images and inspiration for their work—whether that’s drawings, sketchbook compositions, photos, or found images. Alongside printmaking, you’ll also learn how to combine and collage decorative papers with your prints, layering textures and colours to create dynamic, mixed-media pieces.

This course is suitable for a range of skill levels from beginner up.

Al materials will be provided by the AGO.

Students are asked to bring their receipt (printed or digital) and meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.
