Ai Weiwei: 1000 Years of Joys and Sorrows

Tuesday November 16, 1 pm
Zoom

Join artist and human rights activist Ai Weiwei for a live conversation with art critic and and editor-in-chief of Hyperallergic, Hrag Vartanian, to mark the publication of his highly anticipated memoir, 1000 Years of Joys and Sorrows. It is a century-long epic tale of China told through the story of his own extraordinary life and the legacy of his father, Ai Qing, the nation's most celebrated poet. At once ambitious and intimate, 1000 Years of Joys and Sorrows serves as a timely reminder of the urgent need to protect freedom of expression.
