AV Live: Ambient Waves
Join artists from the AGO’s AV team in Walker Court as they presents live multimedia performances, programming a live audiovisual set using generative art software and Stream Diffusion. Explore ambient and immersive sounds and visuals inspired by the spirit of improvisation, imagination, and exploration in the exhibition Sonia Boyce: Feeling Her Way. Featuring music by Patrick Perez and visuals by Hagop Ohannessian and Nae Phillips.

A Salvadorian-Canadian artist, Patrick Perez is celebrated for his groundbreaking creativity and immersive storytelling. Proficient in music production, sound design, audio engineering, and DJing, Perez collaborates seamlessly across music within film, VR, art exhibitions, and fashion, consistently pushing his artistic boundaries into new mediums. In 2018, Perez showcased his talent at the Off The Wall, House of Vans day festival in Toronto. Dublab radio featured a mix session titled "The Sounds of Patrick Perez" in Los Angeles in 2021. Perez's spatial audio design for the Hammam Virtual Reality + Web GL project was showcased at the Istanbul Design Biennial and Mutek Festival. In 2023, Patrick composed and sound designed for ceramic artist Tamara Solem Al Issa's exhibition Deep Blue. Perez debuted his first psychedelic rock album, Seeing The Ultraviolet (2023) releasing under his own record label, Air Dream Software.
Hagop Ohannessian is an Armenian-Lebanese artist based in Toronto. He works in a range of media, including sound, video, sculpture, digital illustration, painting, and collage. His work combines media and digital art techniques with physical materials including plastic, found objects, concrete, metal wires, copper sheets, paint, and field recordings.
Nae Phillips is a Toronto-based artist originally born near Vancouver. After attending Cooper Union NYC and graduating with an Honours Degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, he gained nearly two decades of experience working in television and film. He specializes in motion design, special effects, and interactive real-time graphics presentation. An avid illustrator, he is obsessed with visual art to both understand and convey the nature of our reality.
