ABOUT THE BOOK
Joyce Wieland: Heart On offers a comprehensive view of Wieland’s multifaceted career as a painter, experimental filmmaker, and cultural activist. Archival materials, an extensive chronology, and passages from Wieland’s own writings offer a new understanding of the artist’s extraordinary career and the social and political context in which she was creating.
