Close Looking: Claude Monet
Join Caroline Shields, Associate Curator and Head of European Art, for a close look at Claude Monet’s landscape Vétheuil in Summer. We will take a deep dive into the shimmering reflections in the Seine river on a hazy summer day. In a painting that celebrates colour and vision, we will also consider what Monet hides from our view.
