Hot Takes: Michael Nyarkoh & Nana Adu-Poku

Using close looking skills and visual vernacular, Hot Takes is an analysis of popular images in the media where we invite creatives, artists and thinkers to discuss and decipher an image to better understand our current cultural and social moment.

This week join Michael Nyarkoh and Nana Adu-Poku in conversation about Tone Study Magazine.

Tone Study is a Black art and cultural commentary magazine. Within its pages, Black artists, musicians, iconoclasts, and scholars critique and contribute to the worlds of culture, art, and fashion.

Nana Adu-Poku is a writer, photographer, and tech professional based out of Toronto, Ontario. In his spare time he plays the trumpet, cooks, and takes care of his houseplants.

Michael Nyarkoh is a Toronto based creative producer, working in publishing, fashion and culture. He is obsessed with reading magazines, drinking cortados and people watching.
