Sharon Marley Live

Friday, February, 9, 7-8:30 pm
Walker Court, Art Gallery of Ontario

Join us for a live concert with internationally renown musical artist Sharon Marley as she premiers a new single and video exclusively at the AGO. The concert is part of AGO Friday Nights: Black History Month celebrations, and will see Ms. Marley return to Toronto with her latest single ‘Steppah,’ ready to reconnect, re-emerge and share the soulful evolution of her musical journey.

Sharon Marley is an artist, educator, and advocate. She recorded music with Rita Marley, Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean and spent more than two decades performing and touring with Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. Beyond the stage she had roles at the Bob Marley Museum, the Rita Marley Foundation and as A&R for then newly formed Ghetto Youth United record label. She defines herself through music, art, yoga, philosophy, spiritual midwifery, photography, and creative writing.  Recently back into the studio, Sharon has released two singles “Just One More Morning,” a tribute to her mother Rita Marley, and “Butterflies in the sky” written by her son Ingemar.

Her first full length album comes out in 2024, a blend of reggae, jazz, rhythm and blues and is recoded in the resonant frequency of 432 Hz, recognized as the "Love Frequency" for its proven healing properties, promoting a profound sense of peace, harmony, and overall well-being on and off the record.
