Library & Archives Unshelved: Artists of the Heliconian Club
This drop-in series, hosted by AGO librarians and archivists, offers visitors a first-hand glimpse of highlights from the AGO Library & Archives collections.
In this installment, Acting Special Collections Archivist Camille McDayter will share archival materials relating to the lives and careers of women artists who were members of Toronto’s Heliconian Club. This year marks the 150th anniversary of the construction of Heliconian Hall, home to the club since 1923.

This drop-in series, hosted by AGO librarians and archivists, gives visitors a first-hand glimpse of treasures from the Edward P. Taylor Library & Archives collection. The display will include photos, rare exhibition catalogues, and other Wielandiana from our holdings.

This fall marks the publication of the Jack Bush Catalogue Raisonné, a pinnacle of Canadian art publishing that includes a comprehensive accounting of every painted artwork by the beloved modern artist.
Library & Archives Unshelved: Bound By Her Hand
This drop-in series, hosted by AGO librarians and archivists, gives visitors a first-hand glimpse of highlights from the Edward P. Taylor Library & Archives collection. In this installment, Collection Development Librarian Erin Rutherford shares a selection of her new acquisitions: books bound by women bookbinders from the turn of the 20th century to the 1920s. Each book is a singular work of art.
Workshop: Introduction to Archival Research
Join the AGO’s archivists for an approachable workshop that will introduce participants to the basics of archival research. Find out what’s in archival collections, how to start your research project, and what to expect from a visit to the archives. This workshop is open to all, including students, artists, independent researchers, and the archives-curious.
