AGO Youth Drop-ins

The AGO is the place to be for youth ages 14 to 25. Participate in tie dyeing, sticker making, silk screening, skateboard building, mix tape making, movie screenings and break-dancing workshops. Programs run Fall, Winter and Spring on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in Weston Family Learning Centre.

The Native Youth Resource Centre in partnership with the AGO hosts an Indigenous-led weekly drop-in for Native Resource Centre Youth. This program will create a platform for Indigenous young people to share and preserve personal stories and traditions through art.

Wednesdays: House Dancing with Warehouse Jacks

Learn House dance styles and techniques while hanging out in an inclusive environment. Led by House Dance crew Warehouse Jacks.

Warehouse Jacks is a growing community of dancers, DJ’s, artists, and open minded individuals that come together on many platforms to shed light on House music and culture in Toronto. Many individuals are well traveled, trained in House, come from different dance backgrounds or are local community House music enthusiasts. The Jacks have thrown events, represented the name in competitions world wide, and are looking to grow and share this family with Toronto. We want to show that House is a feeling and not just movement that can be enjoyed by everybody.

Each week, you will create a project utilizing a different type of technology like laser cutting, 3D printing, electronics, LED lights or coding. As you accumulate more skills week to week, put them all together to make your own original artistic technology creation.

Steamlabs is an education innovation non-profit established in 2010 to ensure people understand and think critically about science and technology, have equitable access to it, and can use it to solve their personal challenges, improve their communities and make the world a better place.
