Clash of the Titans
Clash of the Titans
Directed by Desmond Davis 1981, 1h, 58 min.
Inspired by the dramatic narratives in Early Rubens, we bring you the biggest, best, endless battle and tunic-filled, pre-CGI epics from across the ages.
This 1981 classic stars Harry Hamlin as Perseus, the son of Zeus and a hero with a pantheon of gods to deal with. As he attempts to welcome the girl, save the city and do everything else that heroes need to do in any given day, Perseus has to deal with all manners of nastiness - including giant scorpions, the wicked Medusa and, yes, the releasing of a certain Kraken. Ray Harryhausen, the special effects pioneer outdoes himself here, with outlandish monsters, larger than life heroes and lovingly created special effects that still have the power to astonish all these years later.
