Filling The Chest: A New Generation of Treasures Within

Friday December 20, 2019, 11 am - noon

Please come to Seminar Room One located on the concourse level in the Weston Family Learning Centre.

Haida Artists Jaalen and Gwaai Edenshaw have spent decades studying the treasures of their ancestors in collections at home and in museums and galleries around the world. The two carvers have just completed a series of masks that connect the technologies of trickery and performance their ancestors employed to the technologies available today. In their talk they will share highlights and insights from their journey of study and creation in the art of the Haida.

We recommend arriving early to ensure you are ready for the program start time.
