Free After Three Tuesdays: Tapestry Weaving

Weston Family Learning Centre, Art Gallery of Ontario

Learn how to build a picture frame tapestry loom to create a wall hanging. Through a variety of weaving techniques, your wall hanging will incorporate found or created patterns and images.

Anni Spadafora is an interdisciplinary artist and performer based in Toronto. She is a member of the no-wave band, New Fries. Recent project and performance sites include Gardiner Museum (Toronto), Khyber Centre for the Arts (Halifax), Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto), and Sled Island (Calgary). Anni is also a hand weaver and was in residence at the Marshfield School of Weaving (Vermont) in Fall 2017.
