Inside Out Screening – CFMDC Local Heroes Retrospective

Sunday May 28, 2017
Jackman Hall, Art Gallery of Ontario

Join us as Inside Out celebrates the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre’s (CFMDC) 50th anniversary! CFMDC is proud to hold one of the largest collections of Canadian independent queer film and media art in the country. In celebration, they’re revisiting Inside Out’s past programming of CFMDC Toronto works. This program features films from the mid-’90s to early 2000s when CFMDC’s queer collection was rapidly expanding.  It will consider how local queer work is in dialogue with itself, through playful, thoughtful and personal examinations of what encompasses queer existence, resistance and resilience.

Featuring work by Michael Caines, Michèle Pearson Clarke, Keith Cole, Janine Fung, Rémy Huberdeau, Robert Kennedy, Daniel McIntyre, Wrik Mead, Allyson Mitchell, Roy Mitchell, Michelle Mohabeer and Steen Star.
