Drawing Explorations: Life Drawing in the Galleries

Drawing Explorations: Life Drawing in the Galleries is an engaging course that combines the study of the human form with the inspiring surroundings of gallery spaces. Students will have the unique opportunity to practice life drawing directly in galleries, using art works and live models as their subjects. The course focuses on gesture, proportion, anatomy, and expression, while encouraging students to experiment with various drawing mediums. In addition to honing technical skills, participants will explore the interaction between their drawings and the art around them, fostering a deeper connection between observation and creativity. This course is ideal for both beginners and experienced artists looking to draw in dynamic and inspiring settings.

This course meets in Gallery 135. Please check all oversized bags, portfolios and coats. Participants must be 18 or older. To get the most from this course, we suggest you take Introduction to Drawing first.
