Painting Explorations: Portraits

This workshop focuses on an intuitive approach to portrait painting, supporting skills development through direct observation of artworks currently on view. Students will explore the fundamental concerns in painting such as colour relationships, paint handling, gesture and composition. As part of the class, students will visit the works in Sunday Best and Melissa Auf du Maur to gather inspiration.  All skill levels are welcome.

Students are asked to bring their receipt (printed or digital) and meet in the Dr. Anne Tanenbaum Gallery School.
