Family Sundays, December: Wishes for the Earth
Join us for art making activities that celebrate the earth and our hopes and dreams for our planet. Make a wish for the earth and hang it on our tree full of wishes.
Then to brighten up the dark colours of the city as the days grow shorter, and to celebrate the coming of winter, help us put the green back into winter. We are growing a collaborative paper window garden full of leaves, flowers and all kind of cheery greenery that will grow for the entire month of December. Banish those chilly, snowy days!
Family Sunday Kick Off!
Join us for magical glow-in-the-dark artmaking and shadowy flashlight fun! Make a glow in the dark headband or wristband wearable, take a spooky flashlight tour in the Thompson Collection of Ship Models or go on a Scavenger Hunt in the galleries to find Wonder Women artists with amazing superpowers! You can also visit the Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On centre to help rebuild our forest or the Art Cart to make flipbooks and animal storyboards.
Family Sundays, November: Something From Nothing
Family Sundays are back! The AGO’s weekly celebration of art for all ages launches with a program inspired by the exhibition, Anthropocene. Reflecting on the scope of our impact and our footprint on the earth, we’re making “something from nothing”. Thinking about how we can do more with less, start with only one material and add just a few more materials to make something inventive that is unique…and usable!
Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Anthropocene.
Family Sundays, April: Polka Dot Fun
