KUSAMA SCHOOL VISITS LOTTERY - Terms and Conditions

  1. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter. Successful teachers will be required to purchase the tickets that they are given access to. A deposit will be required to secure your visit and must be received by the AGO by Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Payment is due in full on the day of your visit. There are 4500 tickets in total that are available to successful teachers.
  2. Accredited K-12 classroom teachers who are visiting with their class as part of a curriculum-linked field trip are eligible to apply. One entry per person. If it is determined that a teacher has entered more than once, we reserve the right to exclude the teacher from the lottery.
  3. Closing date for entry will be 5 pm local time on Friday, February 9, 2018. After this date no further entries will be permitted.
  4. Successful teachers will receive the following:

Access to purchase up to sixty (60) tickets total for a K-12 school group that is visiting with an accredited classroom teacher as part of a curriculum-linked field trip.
The total number of tickets available to purchase includes both student and chaperone tickets. A minimum of 1 chaperone: 10 students is required. The recommended chaperone ratio for this exhibition is as follows:

20 and under: 2
21-30: 3
31-40: 4
41-50: 5
51-60: 6

The tickets will be priced at $14 per student, including HST. Tickets for the required number of adult chaperones will be complimentary.

Successful teachers will have the opportunity to indicate 3 preferred visit dates and 3 preferred visit times on the entry form – this is not a guarantee that the preferred date will be available to those selected.

  1. The AGO is not responsible for inaccurate contact information that is submitted by any entrant.
  2. A random draw will be executed by the AGO School Programs team, in Toronto, ON, from all eligible entries received on or before the closing date. The odds of being selected will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received on or before the applicable closing date.
  3. Successful teachers will be notified by email by Friday, February 21. This email will include information about deposit requirements.
  4. If successful teachers have not submitted a deposit to secure their visit by 5:00pm local time on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, we reserve the right to withdraw the offer from the teacher and release the tickets.
  5. The successful teachers’ opportunity to buy tickets is not transferable to others.
  6. By submitting their application, the teacher is indicating his/her agreement to these terms and conditions.
