Wondering what to do this March Break? Wonder no more! We’ve got an incredible line-up of interactive and imaginative activities this March Break (March 10–18) inspired by the playful and colourful world of Yayoi Kusama. All programs are available on a drop-in basis, so families can come by whenever it suits them. All activities are free with admission.

A highlight is a cardboard space city that will be in Walker Court, where kids and their families can build their futuristic fantasies with the guidance of Toronto-based artist and designer Sean Martindale.

You and your creative kiddos can also make your own lantern or emoji mask, explore and play with colourful shadows, show off your artmaking skills at the Art Carts, pick-a-colour family tours throughout the Gallery, or play in our newly refreshed Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On Centre that includes the new art installation, Doors in the Deep, by Labspace Studio. The installation showcases animals seen in artwork throughout the AGO that you can find using our new family self-guided tour (find it at the Art Carts or Dr. Mariano Elia Hands-On Centre). Or pick up a drawing card entitled “Maze” created by Toronto artist, Philippe Blanchard, to forge your own path through the galleries by following the colours red, green and blue.

Admission to the AGO for March Break activities is free for AGO Members and children five and under. A special discounted March Break family pass is available for advance purchase for only $39. A family pass admits two adults and up to five youths (ages six to 17). Individual tickets are $11 for youth, ages 17 and under, $16 for seniors and $19.50 for adults. Tickets can be purchased at AGO.ca, in person and by phone at 416 979 6648.
