Richard & Elizabeth Currie Chief, Education & Programming

Dr. Audrey Hudson was appointed Richard & Elizabeth Currie Chief, Education & Programming in 2020. Audrey joined the AGO in 2017 as Associate Curator of Schools & Early Childhood Programs. In 2022, Audrey was awarded a Guest Scholar in Residence at the J. Paul Getty Museum for her leadership in Virtual School Programs at the AGO.

Prior to joining the AGO, Audrey developed and taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses at OCAD University, Toronto Metropolitan University, and the University of Toronto. Audrey has been an active Art Educator and Community Programmer for 22 years and an active mentor in community engagement, including working with marginalized women at Sistering/Inspirations. Audrey is a passionate artist, educator and researcher. She has published numerous articles on art education, social change, and hip hop.

Audrey holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, an MEd from York University and a BFA from OCAD University.
