This session will introduce principles of mindfulness to support close looking at an artwork by Yvonne McKague Housser.  Yvonne McKague Housser is best known for her alluring paintings of Northern Ontario villages and mining towns. The mining town of Cobalt was one of her main destinations and the inspiration for Housser’s Silver Mine, Evening. In most meditations we close our eyes but in this case we'll keep them open. We hope that by taking part in mindful viewing you will gain a different perspective of the artwork.
