Curator’s Talk: Impressionism in the Age of Industry
Join Caroline Shields, AGO Assistant Curator, European Art for a talk exploring her major new exhibition Impressionism in the Age of Industry: Monet, Pissarro and more. The exhibition brings masterpieces from around the world to the AGO, including over 100 great paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs and films from the period to explore themes of industry and labour in Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art.
Caroline Shields is the Assistant Curator, European Art at the AGO and curator of the exhibition Impressionism in the Age of Industry: Monet, Pissarro and more. Prior to joining the AGO she earned her doctorate in nineteenth-century French art history from the University of Maryland and held positions at museums in Washington D.C., Boston, and Paris.
