You Got Me Dancing: Dancing With Parkinson's + the Music of Leonard Cohen
In partnership with Dancing with Parkinson’s, the AGO invites seniors to participate in a special public dance and movement class inspired by the new exhibition, Leonard Cohen: Everybody Knows. Led by dancer and Dancing with Parkinson’s founder Sarah Robichaud, this specially curated program is an inclusive opportunity for seniors to gather and explore the poetry and aesthetic significance of Leonard Cohen's powerful music through movement.
All abilities and mobilities are welcome. Participants can join in while seated and/or transition to standing behind a chair during the session.
Dancing with Parkinson’s (DWP) invites those living with Parkinson's disease and all seniors out of isolation and into an artistic community where they can dance and connect with others. Our online and in-person classes provide accessible, safe and fun opportunities for participants to explore the artistry and potential of their own movement, while experiencing social, cognitive and physical benefits. DWP is proud to be celebrating 15 years of dance, movement and community.
