CLAY WITH NESS LEE

Come hang out with local artist Ness Lee and explore all the possibilities with clay! In this workshop you will learn the simple techniques of slab work (working with sheets of clay that can be folded, curved, and joined to make different forms) and coiling (rolling out clay into a long thin sausage-like form that is wound round like a spring) to make your very own unique vessel. All ages welcome, all materials provided. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.

Breakdancing with Concrete Warriors 4

Breaking 101 - Is an introduction to the origins of the dance form that is a part of Hip-Hop culture's original elements also known as “break dancing”. Learners will engage in authentic street style dance moves, concepts, and styles rooted in the urban traditions of the cypher where we will share and learn through the process of reciprocity that is anchored by cyclical learning utilizing music, movement and creativity. 

House Dancing with Warehouse Jacks

Drop in and dance! Toronto House Dance crew Warehouse Jacks invites youth to join them for a series of free dance sessions, teaching House dance styles and techniques in an inclusive environment. Special Guests: Live House DJs will accompany one of the workshops.

Celebrate Halloween at the AGO!

Calling all monsters and friends of monsters! You are invited to the - Meeting of the Monsters - a red-carpet gala featuring the stars of monstrosity! Dress in your scariest outfit and enjoy a limousine ride in Walker Court; red-carpet interviews from Insom-Talk’s acclaimed hosts; and the hottest music in the monster world! 

DIY Production Design: Costumes, Props and More with Insomniac Film Festival

“How can I make my movie look great when I have zero dollars?!?” If that’s a question you’re asking yourself, come to DIY PRODUCTION DESIGN - a 6-week drop-in program that explores no-budget production design in film. Using a wide range of materials and formats, participants will create their own props, costumes, and sets with a focus on play, experimentation, and  following your heart! Wear your costume or prop to the Insomniac Meeting of the Monsters Gala on Friday Oct. 27th.
